Polish building companies consortium has more chances abroad

21.04.2018

Sebastian Sadowski-Romanov offered building companies of Poland to enter the foreign markets in composition of consortia. Such offer of ITRO’s CEO was announced at the conference of polish building industry leaders in Bialystok

Bialystok is a city, where the forming of the East Building Cluster (Wschodni Klaster Budowlany) has begun. East Building Cluster is the largest branch association of modern Poland. The capital of Podlaskie Voivodship on April, 20-21 2018 once again hosted the members of this organization at conference of „Promotion of Polish building industry at foreign markets“. Today one of the most important problems that Polish building business faces on the way of entering the European and other markets is relatively weak marketing and low level of awareness about Polish companies abroad. Polish firms have a great experience in building different types of edifices. The list of already successfully completed projects consists of both dwelling and industrial types of buildings at local and international levels. Nevertheless, separately Polish building companies have not enough forces to create strong competition for international brands at the domestic market. This fact was admitted by all participants and vast majority of all performances was devoted specially to this issue. Participants gave examples how Polish products for building were resold by international enterprises under their brand with the price that is much higher. With such tendency Polish companies do not receive the income they could if sell their high quality goods on their own. Members of East Building Cluster came up with the solution of the problem via intention to create a general brand – «The Best of Poland» for promoting Polish companies abroad. However, a brand will not become a panacea, moreover its forming will take a lot of time, whereas, companies need to begin operate at the foreign markets today.

Presentation „Building a successful consortium“:

// Problems faced by small and medium business in exporting products

// What are the advantages of working in a consortium?

// Export consortia in construction

// Creation and management of export consortia on eastern markets

// Information about company set-up costs in Russia

// Building a Consortium based on EU funding

Sebastian Sadowski-Romanov offered building companies of Poland to enter the foreign markets in composition of consortia. On the one hand, not all members of cluster are interested in separate markets. It means that temporal consortia will be created in accordance to certain market, region, goal or even project. On the other hand, company’s cluster membership will allow reduce organizational costs for marketing, representative and exhibition events. In its turn, it will positively effect on the competitiveness of the Polish building companies. For most of them marketing budget could be the way of funds economizing if they enter foreign market alone – that is considered as no effective behavior.

«THE CONSORTIUM ALLOWS TO UNITE THE RESOURCES OF A FEW FIRMS NOT ONLY FOR OPTIMIZATION OF EXPENSES TO ENTER THE FOREIGN MARKET BUT ALSO TO SATISFY THE CERTAIN MARKET BY ALL DEMANDED PRODUCTS THAT COULD BE PRODUCED BY POLISH COMPANIES.» – Sebastian Sadowski-Romanov mentioned.
